He is human, but discovers the world of witches and wizards when he overhears Kendall Hagano. The two of them have a brief romance.
Cameron grew up in one of the bad neighbourhoods of New York. His mother worked her ass of to be able to take care of her children and he never got to knew his father. He left before Cameron could even walk. The story goes that he is a drug addict and still lingers the streets of New York, but Cameron never wanted to get to know him. He felt like his father had left them and he thought he was a coward.
So when he was done with middle school he decided that he wanted to help out his mother and he decided he didn't want to go to school anymore. Instead of learning for something that he liked and building his future, he started bringing newspapers to houses of rich people. He didn't earn much, but he knew that it helped his mother a lot. He also felt very responsible for his sister and he wanted her to be able to go to school. He wanted her to have the future she deserved.
So when his mother died when he was only 17 years old, he took care of his sister on his own. He needed a better job and when he caught a thief in one of the stores in town he was hired as a part time security guard. He barely made enough money to take care of himself and his sister, but he never gave up. One day he met a rich businessman and they started talking. The man seemed very interested in what he did for a living and he told the man his story. It felt really good to finally tell someone about what he had been through.
The businessman told him that he owned a security company and he offered the young Cameron a full time job as a senior security guard. Cameron didn't had to think twice and he took the job in an instance. First he was stationed all over town. One night he guarded the zoo, the other night he was guarding the museum. When Grayson told him that he had a special task for him he was really excited. He finally started to get somewhere in his life. He had to move to Waterfall Creek to do security for some people called the Millers.
He hated leaving his sister behind and he wanted to take her with him. So he hired an apartment in Waterfall Creek and decided that his sister should go to the boarding school that was located there. She had to move in her senior year, but she was glad that she could get away from New York. Waterfall Creek might just give her the right motivation for studying something that she really wanted.
The moment he came to Waterfall Creek he loved the place. It was so much different than New York and the people were really nice. He liked the atmosphere and the people he worked for were really nice. He got to knew them a little better and soon he realised they were different than the normal people he usually worked for. He never really asked what was going on and did his job. He felt like it was none of his business. As long as they payed him and treated him with respect he wouldn't be the one asking questions.
One day he met a lovely girl while on the job and they seemed to have a connection from the very start. He really liked her and he felt something for her that he never had felt before. They kissed behind the motel where he was working, just two days after he met her, but they were inseperable from that moment. He found out about her other boyfriend just after, but he wasn't ready to lose someone else. So he was mad, but he found the courage to forgive her and give her a second chance. He even wanted to give the other lad a second chance, but he didn't seem to want anything to do with Cameron. Cameron wasn't really bothered by that. He had the girl he wanted and he had a job.
He was able to take care of himself and his sister and that was the most important thing. Kendall was also the one telling him about who the Millers really were. He was shocked at first, but then he decided that it didn't matter. They were just people and he would be the last one judging them. They never really choose this life and they wanted to make the best of it, just like he had to do when he was younger.
